Record of the Day: “Satellite” – B.o.B

19 11 2009

A couple days ago, I gave B.o.B his dap for “No Man’s Land”, while admitting that I knew almost nothing about the guy. After doing a little more research and, more importantly, listening to his most recent mixtape B.o.B vs. Bobby Ray, it’s come to my attention that not only is that mixtape pretty incredible [Ed. note: And most likely worthy of a Rhyme&Re-review in the near future], but his 2010 debut album has rocketed to the top of my list.

At times, he’s like listening to a 21-year-old who desperately wants to be the next Andre 3000. And it works.

“Satellite” is B.o.B’s “Day ‘N’ Nite” (in terms of sound, not popularity), except it’s an upbeat jam instead of a downer. And thus far, it’s the only Record of the Day to earn a rating of ★★★★★. Do your due diligence and download the torrent below.
